It seems to me that the month between Thanksgiving and Christmas must be the fastest month of the year. How does that time slip by so quickly? In just a few more weeks, we'll be into another new year already. It's incredible how fast a year goes by!

 

I wish you all a very Happy Holiday with lots of time to do some of your most favorite things. Let's all count our blessings for what we have, be it large or small. I'm looking forward to spending time with some of my family. I'm grateful for the non-tangibles in my life like health, family, friends, spirituality, freedom, the help and support of others who serve us: firemen, policemen, servicemen and women, medical professionals and staff and many, many more.

Are you very open-minded, a little open or quite closed? Do people ever want to admit that they are very comfortable with what they already know, so don't go bringing any new ideas, things or phenomenons my way? Thank you very much, but I'll stay right where I am as long as I can.

  

I think you are at least a little open since you are receiving this newsletter. You know, by now, that I range somewhere between a little open and very open. You may also know that, were it not so, I wouldn't be here in this moment sharing all this fascinating stuff with you.

  

Have you ever seen an orb or heard of one? Yes? Fantastic! No? This article may boggle your mind and titillate your imagination as we travel together into the world of orbs.

 

"What's an orb?" you may ask. That's a question numerous people have been asking for the past 15-20 years. The answers are nearly as varied as the inquirers. According to Wikipedia, an orb is another name for a round object, especially a disk or sphere. This is the definition with which most of us are familiar. In photographic terms, it is defined as an unexpected, often circular photographic artifact. 

 

Some explain orbs as bits of dust, lint or moisture interacting with the light and lens in different ways. Yet other researchers have done tests specifically designed to verify these factors and haven't gotten any orbs to appear in their photos. In some cases, the orbs showed up behind rain drops and, also, behind hail. Orbs seem to appear more frequently in digital photos and even show up in videos.

 
Some people refer to orbs as "spiritual" orbs. As with auras (colored energy fields around people, animals and other objects), orbs can be seen with the eye by sensitive people. Some can communicate with the orbs. With this additional information, we are finding out more about the orbs. They seem to be here for different purposes. They may be guides, angels, archangels, lost souls, comforters, communicators and consciousness raisers.

 

Animals seem to be very aware of the presence of orbs. One woman watches her cat when she's lying nearby. When the cat changes her position and acts as if she is playing with something near her, the owner takes a picture. One or more orbs appear in the picture each time.

 

Orbs are frequently seen near cemeteries, churches, spiritual gatherings, healing centers, in nature and around uplifting music and events. 

 

Most look white. White, of course, is a composite of all the colors. Colors are also very apparent in some orbs. Sometimes orbs appear as singles, other times connected as pairs and, also, as interlocking ones giving a streaking effect. Orbs can change in size, color, configuration and shape very quickly even in a photo. Orbs are usually circular but not always. If you're lucky, you may get to see the face of a person or an animal or something else in the orb.

 

One day after a session, a client asked me if I knew about orbs. I told him I had heard about them but had never seen one. Todd offered to send me one of his pictures. I also did a search on the internet and became even more fascinated with them. I decided to see if I could "capture" an orb either with my camera or my eyes.

 

Time went on and I, and others, took pictures. Since I do little with photography, I forgot about looking at the pictures in the camera. The next time I used it, I decided to see how the new pictures turned out. Can you imagine my excitement when I discovered orbs in many of the pictures that were taken from each previous event?

I have heard that the orbs prefer to be invited to come to you. I would say from my experience that it's true. First, I said I want to see orbs taken with my camera. Before the second event, I said I want to take pictures of some orbs, and I did. By the third event, I wasn't even thinking about orbs. A friend called in orbs outside her house any time she wanted to. She could see the orbs coming when she called them. Now I believe I will be able to take pictures of orbs any time I want.
