Meet Joy

Joy Heartsong’s healing journey took a new path when she experienced a personal health crisis initiated by a pesticide poisoning at her office. This led to her retirement from a 25-year career as a teacher and public school administrator. In the successful quest to regain her health, Joy discovered the power of healing touch and energy healing, a discovery that led her to a new career in the healing arts.

“Until this time, over fifteen years ago,” Joy says, “I had not experienced any alternative or complementary health care methods…not even massage. After this toxic exposure and many futile attempts at healing through traditional medical practices, I turned to natural health care for answers, help and support. I am happy to say that I now know the natural healing approach to health is extremely beneficial and is a wonderful complement to allopathic medicine.”

“I am often asked,” Joy continues, “if I was born with this gift to heal. The answer is, ‘Yes – and I wasn’t aware of it and didn’t know how to use it for most of my life.’  We are all born with the ability to heal ourselves and facilitate healing in others.”

As a Healing Touch Certified Practitioner/Instructor and Biofield Energy Therapist, Joy has helped hundreds of clients find balance in body, mind, and spirit, as well as pain relief, allergy relief, stress reduction and a greater sense of peace and content. With Joy’s extensive experience, she guides her clients to access their own inner healing power for both physical and personal healing.

In her latest work, Awakening the Tiger Within, Joy describes 9 Paths to Healing and Empowerment. The techniques Joy recommends in her book reflect much of what she has learned on her own journey to healing and health, as well as the teachings of the remarkable professionals Joy has studied with. These techniques have a proven record of success and have assisted a myriad of clients who have entrusted Joy to guide them on their own healing journeys.

Joy currently lives at the base of the Rocky Mountains, in the scenic city of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She remains dedicated to her private practice even as the demand for her classes, workshops, and speaking engagements grows.
